Endorsements play a major role in sports today, and Easton's emphasis on performance has attracted some of the top names in professional and amateur competition.
Since 1941, when archer Larry Hughes won the National Championship, performance-minded athletes have been attracted to the Easton name. Archery has always been an Easton stronghold, and since it was re-introduced as an Olympic medal sport in 1972, the vast majority of all medals have been won by archers using Easton shafts and Hoyt bows. In the past decade, archery's top names including Olympic Gold Medalists Darrell Pace, Jay Barrs and Justin Huish and Olympic medal winner, Denise Parker, and two-time world champion, Rick McKinney have served as Easton and Hoyt advisory staff members.
In the grueling world of triathlons, Paula Newby-Fraser walked away with an unprecedented 9th title in the famous Ironman Triathlon in Kona, Hawaii. During the 1994 contest, she set a new bike course record on an Easton custom-made bicycle.
In 19 of the past 22 years, Easton bats have been used exclusively by the NCAA Division I champions in the College World Series. When ball players become professionals, they continue to rely on the reputation and quality of Easton products. Some of today's best professionals, including Luis Gonzalez, Bobby Abreu, Doug Mientkiewicz, Eric Chavez, David Justice, and John Olerud, are seen wearing Easton batter's gloves, ball gloves, and swinging Easton bats.
Over one-third of all NHL pros are using Easton hockey products. Superstars like Steve Yzerman, Paul Kariya, Joe Sakic and Jeremy Roenick use Easton products exclusively. The overwhelming popularity of these sports celebrities continues to give Easton great visibility in the news media and athletic arenas around the world.
